Industry Trailblazer, Jamie Matusek, Bolsters Senior Executive Branch
AUSTIN, TEXAS (February 1, 2020) – Bloom Communications, an integrated communications agency specializing in marketing, public relations, and market research, today announced Jamie Matusek, an industry leader credited for introducing the concept of integrated marketing to the student and multifamily housing industries, has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer.
Matusek brings more than 20 years of experience in operations, team and company culture development, traditional and digital marketing, brand development, and communications to her executive leadership role at Bloom. Her brand experience spans a breadth of industries including higher education, consumer packaged goods, retail big-box brands, pharmaceutical, hospitality, nonprofit, finance, and health and fitness.

Prior to joining Bloom, Matusek served as president of Catalyst, a marketing and advertising agency in the housing industry, for six years. As president, she directed business operations, marketing strategy, client services, and communications for the company and its clients. Prior to Catalyst, Matusek served as the Marketing Director leading staff, process improvements, marketing and sales strategies at Nexersys, a start-up designing and manufacturing an interactive boxing system. She spent eight years managing overall sales and marketing operations as Marketing Director of QuantumDigital, a direct marketing company for enterprise businesses and smaller organizations.

Matusek holds a BA in Journalism from Texas A&M University. She serves the Austin community through a number of volunteer leadership roles, including Worship Arts Director for Restoration Covenant Church and through her memberships with the National Association of Women Business Owners and Women Communicators of Austin.
