Rebecca Laymon brings a calm, steady presence to Your Biz Rules. With more than twenty-five years of entrepreneurial experience, she understands the realities of running and growing a business. She uses that insight to support clients with clear communication, organized processes, and strong operational guidance.
She loves blending teamwork, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning to create a smooth and supported experience for everyone we serve.
Rebecca lives in College Station, Texas, with her family on a nine-acre property filled with animals and plenty of sunshine. She and her husband have four young-adult children and two grandchildren they adore. Thanks to the beauty of remote work, Rebecca enjoys traveling to visit loved ones while keeping her work moving with ease.

Lauren Schmidt brings 17 years of business ownership and a strong background in hospitality to her work as a Business Strategist with Your Biz Rules. She has led both service-based and product-based companies and is passionate about client experience, leadership development, and building efficient processes that make work better for both teams and clients.
Lauren has built and led cross-functional teams, strengthened relationships, and improved results at every level of business. She has also served in several industry leadership roles and earned recognition for event design and community impact. Her ability to blend strategic thinking with people-centered leadership makes her a steady and supportive partner for the clients she serves.
Originally from out of state, Lauren got to Texas as fast as she could. She is married to her college sweetheart, Brandon, and together they are raising two boys, Landon and Hudson. Much of her free time is spent at ballparks, football fields, and gymnasiums, cheering them on. Lauren brings that same dedication, energy, and heart into the work she does with our team and clients every day.

Leslie Hassler brings more than 30 years of experience as a business strategist, fractional C-suite executive, and facilitator to her work as Founder of Your Biz Rules.
Throughout her career, she has worked directly inside organizations large and small — from national franchise groups to municipal governments to Fortune 500 teams — stepping in as hands-on leadership to help them build the strategy, structure, and accountability needed to grow without burning out their people in the process. Having served as both an operating executive and outside strategist, Leslie understands firsthand the pressure business leaders face balancing growth, cash flow, team capacity, and their own bandwidth.
As a facilitator and strategist, Leslie helps leadership teams get clear on priorities, tighten decision-making, and build the operational systems that let a business scale predictably. That includes standing up the project and workflow infrastructure — like Monday.com — that gives a growing team a single source of truth for who owns what and when it’s due, so alignment reached in a planning session doesn’t fall apart the following week. She has extensive experience guiding teams through strategic planning, leadership retreats, and organizational alignment work that turns big-picture vision into a plan people can actually execute.
Leslie’s perspective is shaped by working both sides of the table — as an author and speaker who studies what works across hundreds of businesses, and as a fractional executive who has to make it work in real organizations under real constraints. Rather than committing to a single methodology, she and her team are students of every major leadership and planning framework, which lets her bring the right tool to the right room instead of forcing every problem into the same model.
Her facilitation style is direct, practical, and experiential. She doesn’t linger on theory — she gets teams into the work itself, surfacing the real barriers to growth and profitability and pushing leaders toward decisions and next steps they can act on immediately. Her data-driven approach keeps conversations grounded in what’s actually happening in the business, not just what people assume is happening.
Leslie has facilitated leadership retreats, strategic planning sessions, and team trainings for organizations including Cox Communications, Strategic Partners (a national franchise group), and the cities of Castroville and Irving, along with businesses across professional services, franchising, and municipal government.
Regardless of the room, she creates a candid, high-energy environment where teams cut through what’s not working, align around what matters most, and leave with a practical roadmap — and the accountability structure to actually follow it.
Beyond her facilitation and consulting work, Leslie is the bestselling author of First This, Then That and the upcoming Scaling Rich, a contributing writer for Entrepreneur.com and Business.com, a National Board Member of NAWBO, an alumna of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB Program, and a Tory Burch Fellows Mentor. She is WBENC, HUB, and AI Mastery Certified. She is also a mother of two boys and an avid traveler.

Jamie Matusek brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in marketing, communications, and organizational strategy to her work as Owner and CEO of Bloom Communications.
Throughout her career, she has led marketing and communications organizations ranging from 10 to more than 50 professionals across departments, navigating periods of growth, organizational change, evolving priorities, and increasing demands. Having served as both an executive leader and strategic advisor, Jamie understands firsthand the challenges today’s marketing and communications leaders face, including balancing strategic priorities, clarifying roles and accountability, aligning teams, and building the infrastructure needed for long-term success.
As a leadership facilitator and consultant, Jamie helps organizations strengthen leadership effectiveness, improve collaboration, and create clarity around vision, priorities, decision-making, and execution. She has extensive experience building high-performing teams, implementing operational systems, and developing cultures rooted in trust, accountability, and shared ownership.
Jamie also offers a unique perspective shaped by both corporate executive leadership and nonprofit board service. Having served on executive boards throughout her career, she understands the intersection of governance, leadership, and organizational strategy, helping leadership teams align operational execution with institutional mission and long-term objectives.
Her facilitation style combines strategic thinking with practical implementation. Rather than focusing solely on leadership theory, Jamie helps teams identify the organizational barriers limiting performance and guides leaders toward actionable solutions they can implement immediately. Her background leading complex marketing organizations allows her to connect leadership discussions directly to the realities of managing communications teams, competing priorities, limited resources, and organizational change.
Jamie also uses team-strength and work-style assessments to help leadership teams better understand where individuals naturally excel, what types of work may create frustration or drain energy, and how those differences affect the way a team works together. These insights help teams reduce unnecessary friction, improve collaboration, and create healthier team dynamics. Combined with practical planning and facilitated discussion, this approach helps leadership teams establish greater trust, stronger accountability, and more effective decision-making.
Jamie has facilitated leadership retreats, strategic planning sessions, executive coaching, and organizational alignment initiatives for organizations across higher education, municipal government, nonprofit organizations, professional services, healthcare, financial services, senior services, real estate development, consumer packaged goods organizations, and more.
Regardless of industry, she creates engaging, collaborative environments where difficult conversations become productive, leadership alignment becomes actionable, and teams leave with greater clarity, stronger relationships, and a practical roadmap for moving forward together.
