Fast Pitch 2013: Vote for The Christi Center

The Christi Center has been chosen to participate as a semi-finalist in the Chisholm Trail Communities Foundation (CTCF) Fast Pitch 2013! They will have 90 seconds to tell their story for a chance to win the $4,000 People’s Choice Award. Every audience member gets a vote and attendance is open to the public.

This final round of the competition will consist of short, verbal presentations: 90-second “pitches” by nonprofit contestants. Each contestant will have 90 seconds to pitch their idea for a grant to the judges’ panel and audience.

What: Fast Pitch 2013 for nonprofits. The Fast Pitch is an annual series of events that allows the community to experience how CTCF is a resource bridge allowing individuals and nonprofits to engage with each other.

When: TONIGHT October 10, 2013 at 6:00pm

Where: McKinney Ministry Center, corner of Ash & University (street parking available), First United Methodist Church, 410 E. University Avenue, Georgetown, Texas 78626

About The Christi Center

For 25 years, The Christi Center has offered free, ongoing grief support groups to children, teens and adults who are adjusting to life after the death of a loved one. They offer 21 loss-specific support groups a month, including:  loss of a child, loss of a spouse, mixed adult loss (parent, sibling, friend, etc.), loss to suicide, loss to crime, a children’s group (ages 5-12) and a teen group (ages 12-19).  They offer adults groups in both Austin and Georgetown, and also partner with area schools to offer groups onsite at schools.
