About Carrie Straub

She works diligently to ensure each of her clients maximizes their audience connectivity through the design and implementation of comprehensive and creative communications strategies.

Before joining Bloom Communications, Carrie worked in international education to develop and execute marketing and outreach campaigns promoting study abroad programs. During her tenure, she and her team were responsible for realizing increased brand recognition, both domestically and internationally, and unprecedented enrollment and revenue growth. Prior to that, she also had a successful career in finance in which she developed a keen appreciation for the value of integrity, trust, respect, and open communication in all business relationships.

Carrie holds a BA in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As demonstrated by her degree choice and career path, she has a passion for understanding and celebrating diversity, which informs her approach to communications and marketing strategies.

While in Nebraska, Carrie was actively involved in the Lincoln Literacy Council and several related nonprofits that serve the refugee and immigrant population. She currently volunteers with Kiva, a microfinance nonprofit that connects low-income entrepreneurs in the developing world with lenders.

Carrie is trilingual with a professional working proficiency in the Spanish and a limited working proficiency in French.
